Contracting Genital Herpes How Do You Keep From Contracting Genital Herpes From An Infected Partner?

How do you keep from contracting genital herpes from an infected partner? - contracting genital herpes

If your partner has herpes, there are three or four things that I recommend. Are in order of importance:

First and foremost, never have sex if your partner has an outbreak or if you think you have more than one. Herpes is very contagious during an outbreak. Ever. Do not take risks in this case.

Second you can your partner to antiviral drugs. Antivrirals (such as Valtrex or Famvir Zovirax) to reduce the number of households, but also reduce the amount of time your partner contagious even without symptoms, asymptomatic excretion (known).

Third, you can use condoms - Condoms While apparently not doing much to protect against herpes, to offer some advantages.

Perhaps you also have to learn everything you can about herpes and how it spreads. This is really only on the proposal of one, two and three to stay - but if so, then its value is.

It was conducted a study with couples where one had herpes and the Old TestamentThey did not. The couples will receive ongoing advice on the intense never have sex during an outbreak. Some have used condoms. Others do not. The transmission rate at about 2% per year for couples who are not taking antiviral medications, and 1% for couples who did. I think these numbers are low in May, I bet the intensive care Poeple actually pay very, very special attention to any sores or injuries - so your mileage may vary a little. But even if the odds are 5% per year, chances are still good in my book.

I recommend the website below for more information about herpes. I also have a link to the survey that I mentioned earlier.

Good luck.

There is no 100% guarantee. With condoms and if the partner has suppressive (ie, Zyban), the chances of contracting it is as if it's less than 5% per year.

Be sure to use condoms, if it is still getting a chance to herpes.
